The Monastery

Picture: Sigurd TowrieDirectly to the north of the church is a range of buildings surrounding a central courtyard.

A separate doorway from this courtyard led into the kirk's nave.

These buildings were most likely a monastic cloister, housing an order of monks, probably Benedictine or Augustine.
